Still Tired, Foggy, or Bloated? It’s Not in Your Head—It’s in Your Hormones

You’re tired. You’re foggy. You’re bloated.
And your labs say everything’s normal?

That disconnect isn’t just frustrating—it’s exhausting.

If you’ve been told “you’re fine,” but your body’s saying otherwise, I want you to know:
You’re not imagining this. You’re not overreacting. And you’re definitely not alone.

When “Normal” Doesn’t Feel Normal

Most traditional labs are designed to detect disease—not imbalance.

So if your numbers fall within a standard reference range, your provider might say everything checks out. But that doesn’t mean your body is functioning at its best.

I see this all the time. Someone walks into my practice with a stack of labs marked “normal,” but they’re still dealing with:

  • Low energy that crashes mid-afternoon

  • Feeling wired at night but exhausted in the morning

  • Mood swings they can’t predict

  • Bloating or digestive issues that seem to come out of nowhere

  • Weight changes that don’t match their habits

  • A general sense of, “I just don’t feel like myself anymore.”

These symptoms don’t show up out of nowhere. Your body is giving you signals—it’s just that no one’s been looking at them through the right lens.

The Hormonal Clues Most Labs—and Providers—Overlook

Here’s what I often find when we take a closer look—not just at labs, but at the full picture of someone’s health:

  • Cortisol imbalances: Tired but wired, crashing hard mid-day, or waking up at 3 a.m.

  • Estrogen dominance: Tender breasts, irritability, heavy or irregular periods

  • Low thyroid function (even with “normal” TSH): Sluggish thinking, hair loss, cold hands and feet

  • Blood sugar swings: Cravings, energy dips, shaky between meals

  • Micronutrient gaps: Low magnesium, B12, or iron affecting mood, sleep, and metabolism

These aren’t random. They’re clues. And when we stop chasing symptoms and start connecting the dots, things begin to make sense.

A More Rooted Approach

In my practice, I look at more than labs. I ask better questions:

  • What does your body feel like day to day?

  • What has your stress load looked like over the last few years?

  • How do you feel around your cycle? After meals? When you wake up?

I’m not here to throw you on a protocol. I’m here to understand the full story—and that includes listening to you.

Because I’ve been there, too. I know what it’s like to be told everything looks fine when nothing feels fine. That’s why I built my practice around helping people like you feel seen, supported, and empowered to take action that actually helps.

3 Things You Can Start Doing Today to Get Answers and Relief

If your labs are “normal” but you still don’t feel right, here are a few steps to start shifting your health from the inside out:

  1. Track your symptoms weekly. It doesn’t have to be fancy—just notice patterns in your energy, sleep, mood, digestion, and cycle.

  2. Request deeper testing. A full thyroid panel (Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3, antibodies), hormone mapping, and nutrient markers tell a fuller story.

  3. Work with someone who sees the whole you. You deserve more than symptom suppression—you deserve care that asks why you feel the way you do.

You Don’t Need a Diagnosis to Start Feeling Better

You don’t need to wait for your labs to get worse to know something’s not right.
You don’t need a diagnosis to take your symptoms seriously.
And you definitely don’t need to keep second-guessing yourself.

Your body is talking. I’m here to help you listen.
